## Resource

South Plains Electric Cooperative just gave $60,000 to 40 volunteer fire departments—$1,500 each—to help them tackle wildfire season. This funding comes from their Operation Round Up program, which has been rounding up members’ electric bills since 1993, pooling those small contributions into meaningful support for local heroes. These volunteers, often under-resourced but always on the front lines, now have a little more backing thanks to community generosity. By spreading funds across 40 departments, the cooperative ensures rural and town-based responders all get a boost. It’s proof that small, collective actions can make big impacts when communities come together. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
