## Resource

A volatile 35-year-old man with a documented history of threats, firearm displays, and eviction proceedings opened fire in his Minneapolis apartment building, killing two neighbors and injuring five—including police officers—before being fatally shot by authorities. Residents had long warned of his dangerous behavior, including openly carrying a gun and threatening loved ones; one even avoided him due to his volatility. Despite prior investigations into his weapon display and a restraining order filed against him, no charges were pursued due to insufficient evidence. Police responded astonishingly fast—under two and a half minutes—to the scene, highlighting both the community’s dread and the system’s rapid response under pressure.
