## Resource

Lubbock County’s Commissioners Court is facing a major payroll scandal as they prepare to vote on a resolution calling in the Texas Rangers to investigate alleged double-dipping—two people, Mark Meurer and Jason Corley, reportedly receiving pay for the same Precinct Two Commissioner role. The move, initiated by Commissioner Jason Corley himself, seeks an impartial audit to ensure taxpayer money is handled transparently and ethically, signaling that this isn’t just a minor glitch but a serious breach of accountability.
