## Resource

A federal judge has once again blocked efforts to honor President Trump at the Kennedy Center, ruling that only Congress can approve any naming changes — even if framed as recognition for securing renovation funding. The board’s attempt to add his name and rename a plaza was dismissed as a “word game,” echoing a prior May ruling. With financial pressures mounting and Trump threatening to withhold support, the court insists on congressional authority and urges a diplomatic path forward, emphasizing the public interest in preserving the arts center’s legacy.
