## Resource

The President escalates pressure on Iran with renewed sanctions and military threats as the six-month conflict drags on—and midterm elections loom. VP Vance tries to downplay it as “not a war,” even as Iran strikes a U.S. ally, making the administration’s case to voters tougher. Meanwhile, the job market ticks up with 162K new jobs and steady unemployment at 4.1%, but wages aren’t keeping pace with inflation—meaning Americans are losing buying power. Mail ballots for midterms are rolling out despite legal battles over voting restrictions and fears that Postal Service changes could lead to more rejections. Secretary Rubio heads to South America next week to rally Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru against narcoterrorism and expand trade—another push to keep the region aligned as domestic tensions rise.
