## Resource

A former Beverly Hills city employee, Shere Lomosad, faces serious charges for stealing over $300,000 in city funds — a theft that began in 2024 and was uncovered after an alert from a fellow worker. Placed on administrative leave in December 2025 and later resigning, Lomosad’s actions prompted a joint investigation by police and prosecutors that started in early 2026. City leaders stress the misconduct occurred before their administration took office, and they’ve since implemented stricter financial controls. Police Chief Kory Martin now shares oversight duties with new City Secretary Roxanne Moldanado, both reporting directly to council to restore public trust and tighten fiscal accountability.
