## Resource

Crime is plummeting nationwide — the biggest drop since 1936 — and Texas is no exception. Violent crimes like murder, rape, assault, and robbery all fell across the country, including in the Lone Star State, where rates dropped from 2024 to 2025. Even cities like Corpus Christi saw declines compared to the prior two years. While California still leads in total crime volume and Wyoming remains the lowest, the data paints a clear picture: America — and Texas — is safer than it’s been in years.
