## Resource

Ed Orgeron’s back in Baton Rouge — not as head coach, but as defensive and recruiting assistant — and while he’s still battling health issues, his presence is undeniable. Coach Kiffin confirmed Orgeron is improving but not yet 100%, yet his passion for the game and loyalty to Kiffin remain fierce. Their history — from Tennessee to USC, where Orgeron even stepped in as interim coach when Kiffin was fired — underscores a bond forged in football trenches. Kiffin recalls Orgeron’s legendary devotion: “I’d rather die on the field than go to a hospital.” Now, recovery is top priority, but Orgeron’s spirit continues to fuel the team — a powerful reminder of how deep coaching bonds run and how much sacrifice can be part of the game.
