## Resource

A major legal twist is shaking up college football as a Louisiana court halts the SEC’s ban on former NFL players using a fifth year of eligibility — and LSU coach Lane Kiffin is seizing the moment, betting big on this rule change to turn his team into a playoff contender again. With LSU’s playoff drought since 2019 and the stakes rising ahead of their 2026 opener against Clemson, the legal battle could get even wilder — and the implications for the sport’s future are far from settled.
