## Resource

Lane Kiffin’s bold move to bring back former NFL players to LSU has ignited a fierce power struggle with the SEC, who’s fighting back with legal and institutional resistance. A judge temporarily sided with Kiffin, letting athletes like Dae’Quon Wright and Zxavian Harris join the team, but the conference swiftly rejected the ruling and filed its own lawsuit to defend its rules against “unfair play.” With analysts like Paul Finebaum warning Kiffin is overreaching and Commissioner Sankey standing firm on conference authority, the battle isn’t just about eligibility—it’s about control. Kiffin may face suspension or loss of voting power if he doesn’t back down, even as he claims he’s just trying to help his players. The SEC’s message is clear: no more bending the rules—this is a showdown where tradition and authority won’t yield.
