## Resource

Dan Orlovsky’s blasting the Rams’ defense after a brutal 27-7 loss, pointing squarely at coordinator Chris Shula — who finally got big names but delivered a disaster in Week 1. Opposing QBs are torching his unit on third downs with near-perfect ratings and just one sack in key stretches. The struggles aren’t new — since Dec 7 last year, the defense has been consistently bad, letting teams score easily and control the clock. From Jared Goff to Brock Purdy, quarterbacks have thrived against Shula’s scheme, often scoring multiple TDs with minimal turnovers. Even when QBs weren’t elite, offenses still moved the ball and forced the Rams to chase games. Travel, Aaron Donald’s status, or preparation issues might’ve played a role — but with big investments, the pressure is on Shula. His former mentor Raheem Morris even shut down the Rams’ offense in a recent game. The inability to generate pressure, stop the run, or get off the field is a major red flag — and if this isn’t an isolated blip, it could spell trouble for the season.
