## Resource

Shohei Ohtani could return to the Dodgers lineup as early as Monday against the Reds, after sitting out Sunday’s game—manager Dave Roberts says he’s trending positively. But don’t count on him pitching again this season; with a tight schedule and recent workload, it’s unlikely. Meanwhile, catcher Dalton Rushing, activated last week after elbow surgery, is back on the IL—his rehab didn’t go as planned, and now he’ll pause hitting before restarting with a rehab assignment. The Dodgers have recalled Eliezer Alfonzo to fill Rushing’s spot, while the team focuses on getting Ohtani back at bat—and likely saying goodbye to his pitching role for good this year.
