## Resource

Disney just pulled off a tech coup, hiring Karandeep Anand as its first-ever CTO — the former CEO of Character.AI, the chatbot startup that once sparked a legal showdown with Disney over unauthorized use of characters like Elsa and Darth Vader. Anand officially joins on October 2nd, reporting directly to CEO Josh D’Amaro, who’s pushing Disney toward deeper tech integration. With plans to bring his team along, Anand will overhaul Disney’s AI, data, and infrastructure — all while helping turn Disney+ into the ultimate digital entertainment hub. This move signals Disney’s serious commitment to staying ahead in the tech race without losing its storytelling soul.
