## Resource

Sunday in downtown L.A. turned chaotic when cops surrounded a crew of 78 young riders on minibikes and pocket bikes blocking traffic and weaving through cars on the 6th Street Bridge — a stunt that put lives at risk. With intel on a planned “bridge takeover,” authorities from L.A.P.D., CHP, and LA County Sheriff’s Department executed a coordinated move to corral the group, resulting in 78 misdemeanor arrests, impoundment of all bikes and two support vehicles, and parental pickups for minors. It’s a stark reminder: these street-legal machines aren’t built for public roads — and safety isn’t just a suggestion.
