## Resource

The Los Angeles Chargers are aggressively building their practice squad after trimming to 53, signing 16 players including QB DJ Uiagalelei and RBs Gregory Desrosiers and Amar Johnson — with tackle Laekin Vakalahi counting separately under the International Pathway Program. Key returnees like linebacker Junior Colson and cornerback Nikko Reed bring experience and depth, while preseason standouts like Desrosiers fit perfectly into the offense and special teams. Three more rumored additions — tight end Patrick Herbert (Justin Herbert’s brother), cornerback Kaiir Elam, and edge rusher Caleb Murphy — could push the squad over the limit, forcing cuts but adding crucial depth at key positions. This move underscores the Chargers’ commitment to developing talent, keeping options alive, and staying competitive through smart roster management.
