## Resource

Comedian Josh Widdicombe is stepping into the spotlight as a new host of Strictly Come Dancing, joining Emma Willis and Johannes Radebe in a major shake-up after Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s exit. Known for his hilarious penguin Charleston from the 2024 Christmas special — which he called his career highlight — Widdicombe brings his trademark comedic energy to the dance floor, joking he might need to dust off that costume. With a background in comedy staples like The Last Leg and Mock the Week, plus a sitcom named after him, this marks a bold career pivot. Rumors swirl that the trio may even perform a surprise group dance on debut, with professional dancer Neil Jones hinting at their enthusiasm — especially from Johannes Radebe. The glitterball-trophy showdown kicks off September 19 on BBC One, with live shows starting September 26 and culminating in the grand finale on December 19.
