## Resource

Open water swimming is roaring back at Bedfont Lakes in west London — now officially called “The Haven” — with supervised sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. After a two-year pause due to funding issues and safety concerns following a tragic drowning in 2022, the council has greenlit the return under new operators, Howl Multisports. Trained staff monitor swimmers, signs are everywhere, and park patrols ensure no one swims unsupervised. This revival underscores the sport’s growing popularity — and the absolute necessity of strict safety protocols.
