To make matters worse, Verizon overleveraged itself within the telecom industry itself thanks to an aggressive takeover attempt of Verizon Wireless. Verizon is a prime example of why a company is never “too big to fail”. Given enough bad choices, every company will eventually fall regardless of their market dominance.
