## Resource

Has Rich Rodriguez already found his quarterback at West Virginia? Michael Hawkins Jr. entered WVU’s season opener with an “OR” beside his name—but after producing 235 total yards, two touchdowns, zero interceptions and an 81.0 PFF grade, the Mountaineers may officially have their QB1. On today’s Locked On West Virginia, Mountaineer Paul breaks down what Hawkins proved, what he still must show as a passer and why he has earned complete control of the offense moving forward. We also examine every major takeaway from WVU’s PFF grades—including the dominant defensive front, Nate Gabriel’s breakout performance, Amare’ Grayson’s impressive debut, Amari Latimer’s case for more carries and the alarming problems at tight end and in the secondary. Michael Hawkins looks like THE GUY—but did West Virginia also uncover some major warning signs? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
