## Resource

The Solid Verbal’s Ty Hildenbrandt predicts West Virginia will finish the 2026 season at 5–7—but I believe Rich Rodriguez and the Mountaineers are capable of much more. Ty joins the show to explain his concerns about WVU, the roster, the schedule and whether the Mountaineers are truly ready to make a major jump in Year 2. Then, I make the case for why WVU can prove him wrong: Michael Hawkins Jr.’s upside, Cam Cook and a potentially dominant rushing attack, an experienced offensive line, improved recruiting and transfer-portal talent, and a defense that appears deeper and more athletic. Can I change his mind about West Virginia—or is his 5–7 prediction justified? Let us know your WVU record prediction in the comments! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
