DARKHORSE CONTENDERS? Ty Hildenbrandt of The Solid Verbal is back on Locked On West Virginia for a LIVE UPDATE as the Mountaineers prepare to face Oklahoma State. When Ty joined Mountaineer Paul in the offseason, he predicted 5–7 for WVU. Paul called for nine wins. Ty liked Rich Rodriguez’s direction but thought 2027 might be the year for a bigger leap—and he was especially high on Oklahoma State’s offense. Now WVU is 3–0 after beating No. 25 Virginia, and the Cowboys are coming to Morgantown. Has Michael Hawkins Jr., Cam Cook and this improved offensive line changed Ty’s outlook? Does he see West Virginia as a real Big 12 dark horse? And does he still like Oklahoma State in this matchup? Paul and Ty revisit their preseason predictions, break down what the first three games have revealed, and give their thoughts on Saturday’s showdown. Ty predicted Oklahoma State would win when we last talked. Does he stand by it now? Subscribe for daily WVU football coverage, and check out Ty on The Solid Verbal.
