## Resource

Jake Crain of Crain & Company joins Locked On West Virginia LIVE to explain—and defend—his controversial prediction that Rich Rodriguez and the WVU Mountaineers will finish the 2026 season with a 3–9 record. What does Jake see that has him so low on West Virginia? Is he underestimating Michael Hawkins Jr., Cam Cook, WVU’s highly rated transfer-portal class and the impact of Rich Rodriguez entering Year 2? Mountaineer Paul challenges the national analyst’s reasoning and lays out why this rebuilt WVU roster could make the 3–9 prediction look ridiculous. Nothing is off limits as Jake and Paul debate WVU’s talent, schedule, coaching staff, offensive potential and chances of becoming one of the Big 12’s biggest surprise teams in 2026!
