## Resource

Tennessee Volunteers’ quarterback battle heats up as Faizon Brandon has the momentum vs. George MacIntyre in fall camp. With explosive plays in scrimmage and national attention on every snap, can Brandon lock up the QB1 spot and lead the Vols’ high-powered offense under Josh Heupel? Questions linger about Tennessee’s run defense and wide receiver rotation, while the running back room—featuring backups Javin Gordon and Daune Morris—emerges as a standout strength. Eric Cain and Josh Ward break down key position battles, discuss the depth concerns following Edrees Farooq’s season-ending injury, and tackle the controversy after Tennessee lands at No. 20 in the AP poll. Why did ESPN's Heather Dinich scoff at the Vols’ ranking, and do the Vols have enough proven talent to exceed national expectations? Dive in for a no-nonsense look at Tennessee football’s preseason path and the fierce competition driving decisions on Rocky Top.
