## Resource

UConn Huskies gear up for a new era in the backfield as they prepare to replace Cam Edwards, their former lead running back now at Michigan State. Will a committee approach featuring Kenji Christian, Cyncir Bowers, Deshun Reeder, and other transfer talents help UConn maintain offensive firepower? The conversation focused on new offensive coordinator Nunzio Campanile’s player-centric strategy and Jason Candle’s PFP (Players, Formations, Plays) model, emphasizing versatility and depth across the running back room. A key theme that emerged was the fierce position battles shaping up in training camp, from quarterback contenders Kalieb Osborne and Jake Merklinger to the rebuilding offensive line, which could be anchored by FCS standout Ben Mulholland. The discussion explored how UConn's depth, staggered eligibility, and incoming transfers could spark long-term success. Can this revamped roster rise to the challenge and establish UConn Huskies football as a force in the upcoming season?
