## Resource

UCF gets back in the win column with a 44-30 victory over Georgia State, but the final score doesn’t tell the whole story. The Knights trailed 24-20 at halftime before Duke Watson completely changed the game. Watson exploded for a career-high 177 rushing yards and two touchdowns on just 14 carries, including a 63-yard touchdown on UCF’s first offensive play of the second half. His 12.6 yards per carry was the second-highest single-game mark in UCF history. On this episode of Locked On UCF, Mike G. breaks down Watson’s monster performance, UCF’s dominant 304-yard rushing attack and what the Knights learned about Keyone Jenkins in his first start replacing the injured Alonza Barnett III. Jenkins struggled through the air, completing just 7 of 17 passes for 86 yards, but accounted for three touchdowns, including two on the ground. The defense deserves plenty of attention too. After Georgia State piled up 323 yards in the first half, UCF allowed only six second-half points and forced three turnovers, including interceptions by Tackett Curtis and Demari Henderson that helped the Knights take control. UCF improves to 2-1, but with Big 12 play coming next, was this a legitimate step forward or did Georgia State expose problems that better teams will punish? Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
