## Resource

Dallas Stars face rising doubts: Is Jake Oettinger truly a top 7 NHL goalie, or is his reputation outpacing his recent performance? Joey Erickson examines Oettinger’s polarizing ranking after an underwhelming .899 save percentage season and weighs whether strong underlying stats and a bounce-back year can silence critics. Key discussions focus on Oettinger’s consistency issues, Casey DeSmith’s reliable backup play, and the expectations surrounding the Stars’ goaltending tandem. Joey Erickson highlights the impact of the Dallas stars' defensive strength, NHL Edge projections for a rebound, and the pressing need for Oettinger to deliver or risk losing support among fans and media. The episode also covers the resolved tensions between the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks over the American Airlines Center, and looks ahead to breaking news, training camp intrigue, and the upcoming NHL season.
