## Resource

San Jose Sharks’ playoff hopes hinge on the growth of their second-year standouts. Can Yaroslav Askarov’s consistency in goal transform the Sharks into a true postseason threat? JD Young examines which rising star—Askarov, Michael Misa, or Sam Dickinson—will play the biggest role in reshaping San Jose’s season. Key topics include why elevating Misa to second-line center could free up Macklin Celebrini, how Dickinson’s blue line development impacts defensive stability, and the high-stakes scrutiny Askarov faces as starting goaltender. With Alex Wennberg anchored in a shutdown role and new additions like Mason Marchment on deck, JD breaks down roster moves, player ceilings, and the pressure points for the Sharks’ young core. Will these sophomore leaps be enough to close the gap in the Pacific Division and fuel a deep playoff run?
