## Resource

San Jose Sharks’ special teams could make or break their playoff hopes—will new talent push them into the postseason? JD Young spotlights the urgent need for power play efficiency, calling out Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, and the potential impact of Luca Cagnoni as power play quarterback. Analysis digs into the Sharks’ jump to a 21.3% power play rate, why a top-10 finish is within reach, and how additions like Michael Misa and Ivar Stenberg could transform the unit’s creativity. On the penalty kill, JD Young questions the reliance on bottom-six forwards and exposes how powerhouse teams like the Lightning and Avalanche lean on trusted middle-six players. With the Sharks ranking just 26th on the PK, the episode breaks down the necessity for better personnel choices, defensive depth, and improved goaltending from Askarov and Nedeljkovic. Is San Jose ready to win those crucial margin battles and secure their playoff spot?
