## Resource

San Jose Sharks’ bottom 6 may be the team’s most competitive group yet, as players with significant 2025-26 ice time now fight to avoid healthy scratches. Can veterans like Barclay Goodrow, Adam Gaudette, Ty Dellandrea, and Zach Ostapchuk fend off rising talent and hang onto their roster spots with increased depth and high expectations? JD Young examines the intense battle for fourth-line roles, coaching staff favorites, and how recent signings and contract extensions impact the opening night lineup. With Chernyshov and Stenberg pushing for NHL jobs and prospects like Ethan Cardwell and Filip Bystedt on the cusp, the bottom 6’s skill ceiling is rising fast. Will Mike Grier seek trades to balance the crowded group, and could this newfound depth finally give the Sharks an edge as they chase playoff relevance?
