## Resource

SEC coaches face unprecedented suspensions after strict new penalties target teams bringing back pro players—could this reshape the college football landscape? Chris Gordy breaks down the SEC’s half-season bans for head coaches like Lane Kiffin, massive fines, and revocation of league voting rights, as Greg Sankey enforces new rules with unanimous support from conference presidents. The controversy heats up with LSU and other schools challenging the clampdown through legal action, raising big questions about future player eligibility and the power of league commissioners. ESPN’s Top 100 College Football Players list sparks outrage as powerhouse SEC programs like Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Arkansas see minimal representation—are top talents like Marcel Reed or LaNorris Sellers really overlooked? Chris Gordy spotlights standouts such as Kewan Lacy, Trinidad Chambliss, and Cam Coleman, while dissecting what these rankings mean for preseason expectations and which teams could be poised for surprise playoff runs.
