## Resource

The Raiders' youth movement continues to take center stage as rookie cornerback Jermod McCoy officially signs his rookie contract, but the biggest question remains: Why hasn't first-round quarterback Fernando Mendoza signed his deal yet? On this episode of the Raiders Squad Show, Q Myers, Amber Theoharis, and Shantelle Chand break down everything you need to know heading into training camp, including whether Raiders fans should be concerned about Mendoza's contract situation and whether the rookie quarterback has a legitimate opportunity to win the QB1 job if he receives first-team reps. The crew also discusses just how impactful Jermod McCoy can be during his rookie season, whether he has the talent to earn a starting role immediately, and why expectations are soaring for Las Vegas' 2026 rookie class. With training camp approaching, we take a closer look at which second-year Raiders are facing the most pressure to deliver and which sophomores could be primed for breakout seasons, including Ashton Jeanty, Jack Bech, Darien Porter, Dont'e Thornton Jr., Tonka Hemingway, JJ Pegues, and more. Plus, ESPN recently ranked the Raiders No. 6 in the NFL for under-25 talent, highlighting stars like Brock Bowers, Ashton Jeanty, and Fernando Mendoza. Are the Raiders actually more talented than they were a year ago? Is this one of the brightest young cores in the league? We discuss the upside of building around youth, identify the next potential breakout player beyond Bowers and Jeanty, and debate whether Las Vegas should still add veteran help before the season begins. As always, we wrap up the show by answering your questions and reacting to your comments live with Q Myers and Amber Theoharis.
