The future is bright in Smashville as the Predators have selected eight prospects in the 2026 NHL Draft this past weekend. The night was led off by U.S. National Team Development Program forward Wyatt Cullen, son of former Predators player Matt Cullen, at 10th overall. Nashville then traded two second-round picks to select Moncton Wildcats defenseman Tommy Bleyl. Day 2 started in the third round with Russian goalie Dmitry Borichev. Slovakian defenseman Jakub Floris and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders standout Justin Graf filled out the fourth round. Swedish center Philip Hemmyr was picked up in the fifth round and Val d'Or assistant captain Benjamin Cossette Ayotte was selected in the sixth round. Future Cornell forward Charlie Puglisi, a high school standout, rounded out Nashville's draft in the seventh round.
