## Resource

New Orleans Pelicans face a franchise-defining crossroads: Is it time to trade Trey Murphy for draft picks and start a full rebuild, or can the roster compete as constructed? Jake Madison explores the risks, rewards, and repercussions of moving Murphy, weighing the Utah Jazz’s all-in teardown against the Memphis Grizzlies’ staged pivot from stars like Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr. Key topics include the Pelicans’ uncertain long-term vision, the impacts of prioritizing player development for prospects like Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen, and why trading Trey Murphy demands a clear, unified strategy—not just a value play. Madison questions whether New Orleans can avoid the Chicago Bulls’ limbo or embrace a Memphis-style youth movement for real growth. Don’t miss this critical breakdown of what’s next for the Pelicans as trade rumors swirl and offseason decisions loom.
