## Resource

Utah Mammoth take a bold gamble as Sebastian Cossa steps into the backup goaltender role with just one NHL appearance to his name. Can the former first-round pick shake off Detroit Red Wings’ doubts and provide crucial support behind an overworked Karel Vejmelka? Tom Callahan and Robyn Leaño question Detroit’s decision to trade Cossa after a single rough month in the AHL, dissect his minor league stats, and spark debate about goalie management. Key topics include the risk of relying on Vejmelka for another heavy workload, Utah Mammoth’s evolving goalie pipeline with prospects like Rabaul, and whether smart load management can unlock Cossa’s true potential. The episode explores the Red Wings’ roster shuffle, why Trey Augustine’s rise factored into Cossa’s exit, and what this means for Utah’s playoff hopes. Will Cossa rise to the occasion, or is another season of goaltending roulette ahead?
