## Resource

Detroit Lions shake up their roster as Tyler Conklin returns to the 53-man squad and Isiah Pacheco heads to injured reserve. With Greg Dortch unexpectedly joining the Buffalo Bills practice squad, uncertainty looms over the Lions’ punt return game heading into their Week 1 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Matt Dery and guest Colton Pouncy (The Athletic) break down Detroit’s roster gymnastics, spotlighting the impact of Conklin’s veteran presence and Pacheco’s injury history on the running back rotation. The discussion explores standout preseason performances from players like SGH and Jackson Meeks, surprises in the defensive line choices, and which young stars are stepping up to fill leadership roles. As injuries hit the secondary—especially Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch—the Lions face depth questions ahead of the season opener. Can Detroit’s talent-heavy roster and revamped mentality translate to NFC North supremacy?
