## Resource

Detroit Lions face swirling narratives as Jahmyr Gibbs surges to the top of NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds. Can Gibbs maintain the momentum alongside David Montgomery, now making headlines with the Houston Texans amidst rumors of a potential backfield split? Matt Dery scrutinizes the credibility of these reports and underscores why Montgomery remains Houston’s lead running back, sparking a fresh look at NFL running back dynamics. Matt also unpacks Nick Wright’s latest NFL tiers, placing the Lions in a fierce NFC North “bloodbath” alongside the Bears and Packers. The episode breaks down Detroit’s chances against NFC powerhouses, updates on Gibbs’ contract buzz, and pushes back on recurring “window closing” debates, highlighting the Lions’ young core—Amon-Ra St. Brown, Aidan Hutchinson, Brian Branch—poised for long-term contention. Are skeptics underestimating Detroit’s staying power in the NFL?
