## Resource

247Sports released its 2026 College Football Team Talent Composite, and the Indiana Hoosiers landed at an unbelievable No. 41. On this bonus episode of Locked On Hoosiers, Jacob Goins reacts to Indiana's placement and explains why a ranking based heavily on players' high-school recruiting profiles fails to capture what Curt Cignetti and his staff have built in Bloomington. Indiana is coming off a national championship season with proven stars across the roster, yet teams including Minnesota, Cal, Arkansas and Virginia Tech appear ahead of the Hoosiers in the Team Talent Composite. Does Indiana really have the 41st-most talented roster in college football? Or is this another example of why recruiting rankings can't tell the entire story once players actually develop at the college level? Then, TJ Pittinger of Big Ten Football Addiction joins the show to put a bow on Indiana Football fall camp. We discuss Josh Hoover's development, Indiana's loaded receiver room, the remaining battle between AJ Harris and Ryland Gandy at cornerback, the starting tight end competition and what the Hoosiers need to show in Week 1 against North Texas. Plus, what should expectations actually be for Indiana after winning the national championship? Is another College Football Playoff appearance the benchmark, and how disappointing would an 8-4 or 9-3 season be? Subscribe to Locked On Hoosiers for daily coverage of Indiana Football and Indiana Basketball.
