## Resource

The Giants' pitching situation is becoming impossible to ignore. Between a lack of major-league depth, Hayden Birdsong's struggles and Trevor McDonald's injury, San Francisco could enter the offseason with a massive need for arms. But does that actually mean Buster Posey will spend big to fix the rotation? We break down the brutal reality of the Giants' pitching pipeline, what options they have internally, and whether their lack of depth could ultimately force the front office into an aggressive offseason. Plus, Mike Krukow believes Tony Vitello will—and should—return as Giants manager in 2027, we take a closer look at newly claimed utilityman Shay Whitcomb, and check in on the latest developments with the Sacramento River Cats.
