## Resource

The Giants cut ties with Darius Slayton, ending the longest tenure on New York’s roster and reshaping the wide receiver depth chart before the Dallas Cowboys opener. Was Malik Nabers’ health part of the calculation, or was there something more to the move that made the decision inevitable? Patricia Traina breaks down Slayton’s $12.749 million dead-money hit, the $3.161 million cap savings, and what the move means for New York’s receiving corps. She also analyzes the Giants’ two contract extensions, including Jon Runyon Jr.’s two-year, $22 million deal and Jameis Winston’s two-year, $13 million extension. Today's Blue Notes focuses on the defensive line’s run-defense concerns, and the Giants’ expected heavy personnel usage against Dallas.
