## Resource

Arizona Diamondbacks rocked by Ketel Marte’s bizarre absence and looming trade questions. Can the club stay in the NL Wild Card race without their star second baseman’s bat and glove? George Lund breaks down Marte’s sudden placement on the 10-day IL, the cloud of uncertainty after his no-show, and blunt comments from team president Derick Hall. The episode explores how Santiago Espinal, Ildemaro Vargas, and Tommy Troy might fill the second base void, plus the mounting roster challenges as Corbin Burnes and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. rehab injuries. Key topics include the domino effect of communication breakdowns, Marte’s future in Arizona, front office patience, and why prospect Carlos Virahonda could be a name to watch. Get insight on Arizona’s injury-plagued season, trade leverage dilemmas, and what’s next for the Diamondbacks as critical matchups approach.
