## Resource

Iowa State Cyclones set the stage for a season of surprises as predictions place them at the bottom of the Big 12—but are experts missing the mark? Nick Marovets breaks down why the Cyclones could exceed expectations, analyzing their schedule and highlighting potential upsets against rivals like Iowa, Utah, and Oklahoma State. The discussion explores why low preseason rankings might be overlooking the team's new identity under head coach Jimmy Rogers and rising talents such as Jalen Raynor and Aidan Flora. Key topics include Iowa State’s shift in defensive schemes, the significance of rivalry matchups, and the impact of roster transformation on team culture. Marovets debates win scenarios from three-win “disaster” seasons to the possibility of a 10-win breakthrough, questioning how far the Cyclones can climb. Will Iowa State’s fresh approach and underestimated roster rewrite the Big 12 narrative?
