## Resource

Iowa State Cyclones football is on the brink of a dramatic transformation as new leadership signals a bold defensive and special teams identity shift—can this new approach catapult the Cyclones into national contention? Nick Marovets spotlights Iowa State’s evolving strategy under Jimmy Rogers, analyzing how defensive benchmarks like holding opponents to 14 points per game and standout special teams returners Aidan Flora and Cam Pettaway could define the team’s reputation moving forward. Discussion centers on the implications of the AP preseason poll, skepticism over Iowa’s top-25 ranking, and which Cyclones defensive players—like Isaac Terrell and Zamir Hawk—are primed for sack-filled breakouts. With the NCAA’s new 5-and-5 rule amplifying the importance of player development and early impact, this episode asks: Is 2024 the season Iowa State football rebrands itself for long-term success? Don’t miss this spirited breakdown of roster potential, coaching influence, and the Cyclones’ quest for respect in the Big 12.
