BYU football dismantled the narrative of poor in-game coaching, surging past Arizona with a masterclass in halftime adjustments and disciplined execution. After a sluggish first half that saw Noah Fifita and the Arizona Wildcats control the tempo, BYU’s staff—led by Kalani Sitake and defensive leaders like Kelly Pupinga—responded with swift, strategic changes. The offensive line, often a punching bag for early criticism, earned praise for weathering relentless blitzes and keeping the Cougars’ game plan alive. Key contributors like LJ Martin, who sparked the second half with dynamic runs, and Kyler Kasper, who notched his first two career touchdowns, illustrated the depth of BYU’s offensive weapons. Rising talents like Braxton Lindsey and Paki Finau also earned special mention for their physical play and maturity, setting the tone for a team poised to maintain its place among the nation's best. The conversation turns to “style points” as Jake Hatch explains why Kalani Sitake’s decision to kneel near the goal line with the victory secure was less about optics and more about preserving sportsmanship and solidifying peer respect across college football. Despite some fans clamoring for a bigger margin to impress selection committe…
