## Resource

Kansas City Chiefs face mounting roster challenges as injuries deplete the defensive line and tight end groups. With Ethan Downs sidelined by an ACL tear and tight end Gillenborg placed on IR, the Chiefs scramble to fill two open roster spots just as training camp kicks off. Can the team find immediate answers on the free agent market with names like Jonnu Smith in the mix, or will General Manager Brett Veach pursue a trade for emerging talent? Chris Clark and Ryan Tracy break down the impact of Travis Kelce’s supporting cast thinning out, the precarious depth at both defensive end and defensive tackle—with Omar Norman-Lott’s injury status still uncertain—and the critical need for cap space as new contracts loom. The conversation spotlights potential trade and signing options and asks whether Kansas City can strengthen key positions before time runs out. Will these early setbacks threaten the Chiefs’ Super Bowl ambitions?
