## Resource

Joe Sakic commits to staying at the helm for the Colorado Avalanche, signaling stability and renewed energy in the GM role—are long-term Cup aspirations even stronger now? Chris Micieli and Zach Pearson dissect what Sakic’s decision means for the franchise, why rushing to name a new GM isn’t a priority, and how contender mentality shapes their approach to succession planning, especially with Andrew Cogliano’s future potential. Central Division power dynamics take center ice as the hosts predict season outcomes for the Avalanche, Minnesota Wild, Dallas Stars, and the surging Utah Mammoth. With sharp takes on player development, front office moves, and key matchups, this episode explores whether teams like the Blues or Blackhawks can climb out of the basement and if a Hellebuyck trade could reshape the playoff race. Plus, hear top listener predictions and find out why Utah’s Zammoth might be this season’s coolest surprise.
