## Resource

Colorado Avalanche face an uphill battle in the Vezina Trophy race—can Mackenzie Blackwood or Scott Wedgewood break through the NHL’s elite goalie circle? Chris Micieli and Zach Pearson explore the Avalanche’s goalie tandem, discussing the team’s likely 50/50 split and the impact on both goaltenders’ Vezina hopes. They analyze odds from FanDuel, break down last season’s voting, and debate if anyone can dethrone favorites like Andrei Vasilevskiy, Connor Hellebuyck, or Igor Shesterkin. The hosts also pay tribute to Barry Melrose’s enduring legacy after news of his passing, reflecting on his influence in hockey media and his ties to the Adirondack Red Wings. Plus, the “Say Nice Things” segment spotlights the Vancouver Canucks, from Roberto Luongo’s focused presence to the Sedin twins’ unique impact and the franchise’s bold jersey history. Can the Avalanche’s goalie duo turn long odds into Colorado’s next award-winning story?
