## Resource

In Liverpool’s vibrant nightlife, the Village Angels—dressed in bright pink—step onto the streets every Saturday night to offer help, whether it’s a listening ear, first aid, or a safe ride home. Operating from 9 PM to 3 AM, these volunteers handle over a hundred interactions per night, driven by compassion and community. Their presence reassures locals and visitors alike, working hand-in-hand with police and local authorities to create safer spaces for everyone. Despite occasional hostility, their impact is overwhelmingly positive, as grateful strangers thank them for being there. Trained in mental health, de-escalation, and first aid, they’re more than just helpers—they’re guardians of the city’s pulse, proving that kindness and visibility can transform urban nights into moments of safety and connection.
