## Resource

A Liverpool man, Paul Parker, 52, was fatally shot in the Netherlands after allegedly going to a garage armed with a knife to collect a debt. Two men, René S and John S, are now facing murder charges but claim self-defense — saying Parker attacked John with a knife and René intervened, getting injured. The rifle used was reportedly a vintage piece from René’s collection, and while John is suspected of pulling the trigger, his lawyer remains silent. Complicating matters: both suspects received assassination threats from England, prompting Dutch police warnings — though those threats are now officially deemed inactive, John’s lawyer finds this hard to believe. Meanwhile, Parker was also wanted for the murders of two Dutch men in Thailand, identified via fingerprints, adding layers to an already tangled case.
