## Resource

Leasowe Castle Hotel, a historic Grade II listed building dating back to 1593, is hitting the auction block after a dramatic downfall — from grand wedding venue to sudden closure in February 2025 amid unpaid staff and hygiene failings. Once transformed into a luxury hotel in 1980, its fortunes took a nosedive after being placed under a High Court possession order and administrators taking over. Originally priced at over £2.35 million, it’s now up for auction starting at £1.5 million, with bidding online October 12–13.
