## Resource

Everton fans heading home after last night’s match faced a nightmare at Sandhills station—hour-long waits, angry social media posts, and chaos as a technical glitch with a train’s door-monitoring camera forced its removal. The stranded crowd, numbering around eight thousand, saw queues grind to a halt for half an hour while safety protocols kicked in. Merseyrail apologized, acknowledging the disruption on the Northern Line, and promised future upgrades—including new toilets, bus stops, and food kiosks—to handle crowds better, though a roof is being held off to keep emergency access clear.
